The season has surely not been a smooth one from a weather perspective but accomplishes are repeatedly made if even to only enjoy it for small periods of time. The rough start from the winter damage, followed by the well below temperatures of early spring, & now the repeated heavy rain events pretty much sum up the storyline. The bend but don't break mentality has been the inside joke with the Grounds Crew and I love their continue fight to climb back up the mountain. The view once we get up top is surely beautiful and apparently short lived as Mother Nature seems to enjoy watching us roll back down but again I respect & admire the persistent fight in the crew to get back on top.

Just like the city of Chicago...the July 4th weekend was beautiful |
We began our weekly trek back up the mountain this week after finally having a fun filled, action packed 4th of July weekend with the course shining bright and playing quite well. The momentum is sure to build this week with some detail work around the course as well as some key agronomic tasks followed by playing catch up with some irrigation issues.
