Snow Storm
This past Friday's snow event didn't stop the local wildlife from getting out on the course. Totalling around 7 inches, I would consider this to be a snow event of some significance. Warmer weather and rain followed just a couple of days later and washed it all away. Snow cover is ideal for this time of year as it provides a blanket of protection for the turf from the cold winds of the winter. While I try not to worry about the weather since I have no control over it; it is hard not to when it dictates everything that I do. With that said, we are pumping some of the low areas on the course to eliminate any standing water that could form into ice and potentially lend itself to turf damage.
